Let’s face it, it’s cold outside!   In the winter months, I am limited to either outdoor snow pictures (which I love but it’s freezing!) or indoor natural light photographs using a white backdrop.  I was hesitant to offer these sessions at first because I do not technically have a studio and I prefer natural light outdoor sessions when it’s warm outside as opposed to flash photography indoors.  It was out of my norm.  Therefore, I was a little uncomfortable taking them.   However, over the last month or so, I’ve received numerous requests for photographs during the winter months.  I realize that during the first year children change so much.  It’s important to capture their important  milestones.  I’ve become more comfortable offering these sessions.  I’ve found a way to use the natural light in my home for studio-style portraits.  I still recommend doing the outdoor pictures in a natural setting during the warmer months if possible.  All-in-all,  you’ll have more fun and less limitations during your shoot.  But, if you like the look of the studio portraits, and want them done, feel free to contact me via the contact tab above.  I have fun doing these ones too!

So, on that note, here is a combination session with most portraits taken indoors followed by a  few outside.

I was so happy to take these 6 month portraits of Baby “I” a couple weeks ago.   Just look at him!  He was teething the day of our shoot so he really just wanted to eat his fingers the whole time.  But, with a little help from mom and dad, we managed to get a bunch of smiles!  Here are a few of my favorite. . .
